    prop shaft lenghts

    ha guys I have read and seen different part numbers for the county 5 speed and 4 speed prop shafts. I have taken my v8 and 5 speed out and fitting a isuzu and 4 speed do I need new shafts. has any one had custom shafts made with bigger wide angle uni's .

    They are different part numbers and I am pretty sure there is some difference in length. Easiest way for you is to contact Tim Vinson who I am sure will have both shafts for you to measure. Try to get hold of a couple of ex army front/rear shafts if you can (Tim may have some). These were made by Repco and have the larger K5-13XR unis plus heavier tube construction..........Brian

    thanks mate, I should just measure the ones at work (in the army). the current shafts being county are stronger than standard defender and bigger unis but I broke a uni last bush trip so would like to look at some thing stronger, it was my fault it broke though.

    Rear one will be the same, front one a bit longer for the 4 speed

    thanks mate, I have decided to get both shafts built new with longer slip joints. thanks for the photos.
