the first two charts are for my 110 before and after dyno. I fitted a GT2560 or GT28R roller bearing turbo. They look identical to T28s.
The 28 type turbo I understand is a T25 turbine housing with a T3 compressor housing. T25s and T3s were fitted by Isuzu to 4B motors. The GT type turbos weren't around when turbos were fitted to the NPR trucks or Perentie 6x6s.
This pic of a tag from a 1989 year 4BD1T shows the stock figures of 121 HP at 3000 rpm, with a fuel rate of 70 cc/1000 strokes.
Now there will be losses between the crank and wheels, and I don't know what is reasonable to expect in a Land Rover, but going from the dyno chart above, 81 HP / 121 HP = 67%. So that indicates to me it may not have the performance of a stock 4BD1T.

While your T28R has the same size compressor wheel as a T3 (60mm OD) they're not the same wheel and don't appear interchangable.
I will at some stage make a T25/T28 hybrid which will be similar to the GT2560R but will still have journal bearings. I have a T28 here which has threaded holes for studs on the turbine flange instead of the holes I need to fit my current manifold. So I'll have to swap the turbine wheel and housing form a T25 to make it bolt up.
I can't wait to see how John is going to fit that Borg Warner turbo system under the bonnet. Space is a big factor for me.
Here is the figures for the Hi Flow T03 fitted to my 4BD1.These are at the wheel figures taken on a Dyno.
100K is about 2400rpm on my Tacho.
