The TD5 filters have a smaller surface area than a 3.9(T)D filter element, and they do not have the secondary safety element. If you fitted one to a 3.9D you would likely have a higher pressure drop and less efficient filtration.

So, AYG0527 is $433, happy to buy a newy, but wanting to know for sure its the correct filter.....pretty certain it will be, just the dude up north thinks the picture only shows one outlet facing down, not 2...the duck bill and air inlet.....maybe another call to Donaldson, the woman there was extremely helpful

Sorry Matt, and thanks for the heads up, I haven't been watching this thread, mate, I'm pretty sure I gave my original receipts to a mate who was also doing the conversion. He has never returned them. I'll give Trinity here a call here and check the numbers tomorrow for you, I'll also check with NTS and Detroit, they seem good for Donaldson parts, especially on the price, $433 seems a bit . Is that for the complete setup - inner, outer and housing?. Still waiting for a slot on the Dyno that suits.

Matt - just call Donaldson, say you need a 3" inlet and outlet in which positions, and tell them the capacity.

There are probably much better options than the OE filter these days.

But I had to order from my local

I'd have to mod the inlet and duck bill for the turbo stuff and it needs a new main element and doesn't have a safety element at all, so essentially to some it up.......I have plenty money in the bank and the lazy way out is appealing
