While you're messing around with the wiring, see if you can find the fuse that sits behind the dash up against the firewall (ie inside the cab but not with all the other fuses). It's a bugger to find if you need to replace it, so relocating it while you're making some changes is a really good idea.
This is what I found when I pulled it all apart:mad: Has been in to much deep water here:( Silly idea having it siting in that bag that holds the water in:mad::mad:

Looks like the armature,brushes and magnets are OK so I'll have a go at repairing the body. May be machine up something that it will slide into and then machine a removable end cover to hold a bush. Not sure what to use to glue the magnets back in though:confused:
The one I got of JC was much the same, it came with his donor engine, I just aluminium taped the holes and painted it in cold gal:D
I made a new end for the motor housing and stuck the magnets back in. Sealed it all up and it still wont work:mad::mad:

The armature must be stuffed:( I cant see why else it wont go. All free as a bird to turn. Its getting power and drawing current.:confused:

I'll try all the wreckers on Monday and if no avail its bad news. I'll have to adapt one off an industrial engine watch dog maybe.

Oh, did you apply 12V straight to the motor to see if it works?I can't remember if they have an internal auto resetting thermal OL as like a windo motor, but if so, be sure to check that for continuity
