Im also Running, 35/12.5/16 tyres, the minumum amount of body lift you can get away with is 40mm, and a 3" lift, Suspension stuff do 3 & 4 inch lift for them, they only list it on the web site under Range Rover but if you give him a call he will do Disco's.
Ive also got extended bump stops, castor corrected QT front arms, cranked rears, Detroit rear locker, Kams front Locker and Kams H/D Axels all round with fuseable front stub shafts, been running 4.11:1 CW&P sets (A MUST) but about to update to Kams 4.75:1's soon

Hey Jezzaol you could save me some hard earned, Why are you opting for the 4.75's over the 4.11's is it just for low range crawling or are the 4.11's just that minimal that you need higher again?? I'm trying to decide before i buy new gears for myself for christmas The wife has to supply the lockers or no more lift for her jeep.

    Hey mate,
There is a couple of reasons, the 4.11 is a good gearing and is miles better than the 3.55's, but its quite a well known fact that they are not as strong, The 4.75's are 50% stronger and bilt like a brick **** house ! they are also reverse cut !
I have smashed up my 4.11's in the last comp along with the rear Detroit (not the lockers fault but thats another story!) I want to get the 4.75's and peg them to reduce any possibility of failure in the future !

They will also give me a better Crawling ability and this vehicle is only a toy for comps and play.

I currently have the heads off at the moment and in the process of fitting a THOR manafold to the 4.6 for a bit more boogie !!

here is a bit more info on the build up if you missed it mate with some pics that you requested, Team Rovacraft Disco !!
Also 4WD action Extreme did a 14 page article on it including the centrefoldin the last issue No 13, if you can get hold of it they got some great shots !!

Now this is my kind of thread as i've just started a D1 project to enter the australian 4x4 masters series. Was considering the whole nissan toyota axle swap route, but have decided to stick to original design where possible. From your comments it seems that i'm thinking along the right lines. 35s, 4.75 cwp, 4+2" suspension/body, hi-tough axle/cv combo, f&r tjm pro lockers, and a whole load of embarrassed jap lovers.
It's better to regret the things you've done than those you haven't!

Hey mate sounds like a good project !, feel free to keep in contact with any questions !, Ive been building mine for comp work for a number of years now and more than happy to share what did and didnt work etc !
I am currently doing some re-work on my engine and waiting for parts to land from the UK, but once its done I will be getting her over to the Blue Mountains by the end of the year ! (where I now live but I still work in WA).
Ive also been building this with a mate .... 91 3 Door Disco , its almost finished now but he's got slack and has not posted any pic's for ages ! we did enter Cliff Hanger this year but have had some delays and other problems and re-entered cliff hanger for 2012 in it !

Reverse Cut, All these ratios are now offered in both the normal rear directional cut and reverse cut for the front so unlike the incorrect stock rover design you are now driving on the stronger drive side of the gear in the front axle.

    As per Ashcroft website !

    Cheers
