    hey does anyone know what the laws are in nsw about bodylifting an airbag equipt 4wd??

    I don't know of anything specific, but the normal rules for vehicle modification in NSW are that you can do almost nothing WITHOUT an engineering inspection and certification, and (seemingly) almost anything WITH such a certificate.

    That being the case, the best person to ask is you local RTA engineering inspector, there is a list of them on the RTA web site. Locate one close to you, preferably one that has dealt with extreme 4WD modifications, and ask them what they will certify.

    Without engineering approval, assume that any modification beyond 15mm greater tyre diameter is illegal, because technically it is!
