			Upgrade opinions for my disco

Hi guys I have recently purchased myself a 1995 disco v8 on gas.
It comes with a bullbar and spotlights already and a spare mount on the back.
For a suspension upgrade I'm looking at the ironman nitro gas suspension pack it is said to give me 50mm more clearance.
Is it a quality product? Has anyone had experience with it before?
Also I am an apprentice painter so the wallet is fairly thin so top of the range latest and greatest is a little out of reach.
I want budget stuff but not crap. A good cheap snorkel has been hard to find to suit the Pom bomb, anyone know of any?
Also what tyres can I fit under it without needing to play with the steering or gearing?
It is an automatic, should I be concerned about overheating issues offroad with the auto?
A sports exhaust would be a plus too so any advice?
Any other ideas on mods that wont smash the bank but would really benefit the car offroad would be awesome too.
 Thank you

					I also have a '95 V8.
I just put a 2" lift from suspension stuff in. It works great not too harsh.
I run 245/75R16 Maxxis Bighorns which fit well, just need to trim rear arch a touch. Mine has a 2.5" exhaust with just a high flow muffler in the middle, sounds good, but i will soon fit a rear resonator to change the sound.
 Enjoy.

					Hi Riley . .

If money is tight, forget about the 'sports' exhaust & concentrate on the practical side first.

Have you been 4x4ing at all? I suspect not if you're an apprentice & you've just bought a Disco (happy to be wrong though).

Leave it as is for the time being. Check out the Upcoming Events section & go out on a couple of AULRO trips (the Vics have heaps - there's one on the 26th perfect for you). Then you can see what others have done & how they work in real life. You'll also be pleasantly surprised what you can do with a stock vehicle.

The air filter is reasonable protected unless you want to go through 4' deep water crossings so the snorkel can wait until you work out what you can & can't do.

Maybe stick a set of slightly larger tyres, say 245/70/16s, in an all terrain pattern & do the small cut (search for 'camel cut') to the rear guards if you have concerns about your current tyres.
