So im considering swapping a 200/300 motor into my Series 3 109.
Im comfortable with the amount of info available on the actual swap but know nothing about the engineering requirements for rego in NSW.
Has anyone been down this road and has a rego'd vehicle with this swap?
What was required?
I expect that the brakes would need to be upgraded and I plan to use the Roam disc kit.
I will retain the stock gearbox and t/case but will be using an Ashcroft kit.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

 Ash,
Not sure about the situation in NSW but the recommendation was to involve an engineer at an early stage.
Engineering a 200Tdi into a series 3
Are you thinking of keeping the turbo ? Seems this (depending on your driving style) may shorten the life of the Series gearbox.
200Tdi fits to the Series bellhousing easier than 300Tdi.
Disco 200Tdi you have to move the position of the turbo if you're keeping it, Defender 200TDi harder to find.
I stayed with the 2.4 Isuzu that was in my Series III but have yet to get it on the road so cannot comment on it's performance. Mine has a high speed transfer box.
Isuzu C240 powered Series 3
Disc brakes sound like a good idea, there was something about an increase in weight or power of 10% or more meant upgrading brakes.
Best of luck,
Colin
