    New Project 80 RRC

Well, after 7 years of no Rovers I have ended up with another.

In early 90-s I owned a Landy 90 Hybrid being a series 3 on a shortened Rangie Chassis. Rover V8 Nissan MQ 4 speed and transfer 4.7 Diffs with Maxi Drive. Ran tyres from 9/34 Swampers to 255 85 16 BFG MT then Silverstone 36s, Q78 Swampers and 35 12.5 15 BFG MT.

    I swapped a lot into a 85 RRC that I bought with a 253 and a TH400 then fitted a 305 Chev to it.

When I was fitting GQ Patrol diffs under it, I had a change of heaet and sold it in bits and bought a GQ Patrol.

Bug has bit again so picking up a 80 RRC in reasonable condition. Has Rangie Spares flares, manifold cut down for a 350 Holley and not a lot else.

just swapped parts for a 93 Disco 3.9 Manual, so guess I know what Driveline it will have.

Debating now on keeping as a 2 door wagon or ute conversion. Time will tell.

Looking at no bodylift, TJM Pro Lockers my Warn Himount that has graced all my vehicles. Std Gearing an 255 85 16 Muds or that kind of size.

    Will keep updates happenning.

Just make sure that the diffs you put in are 24 spline not the early disco 10 spline ones.

Your chassis year of production will determine the ADRs you will need to comply with. So 1980 might be a little more forgiving than 1993.

No, it would be a 93 with an 80 body. It goes on the VIN, not the year of the body if you swap the chassis. You may find the 80 body may not be legal on a 93 vehicle. Not hard to chuck the running gear in the 80 and you get the same outcome without all the legal hassles.
