Do you have to drill out the bolt holes on the axle housing to suit the bush? I have a nissan arm sitting around somewhere, and If I remember correctly the bush and arm looked like it would fit in the LR axle but needed the bolt hole taken out bigger???

I highly doubt you'd notice any difference, the pivot point on the chassis is still in nearly the same place. Lucky to be 20mm shorter

Na they bolt straight in to standard, no modifications required, aside from filing one of the bolt holes for the 3 bolt bush just a smidgeon.

I took some pics this arvo, but cant psot them

From the Stock Nissan arm I have and the stock LR arm I have, it looks like the bushes are as follows:

Nissan: 60mm wide, 50mm OD, 14mm bolt
LR: 62mm wide, 35mm OD, 16mm bolt.

They are bush measurements, not the size of the arm.

So I wonder what Superior are doing for the bolt, as the axle housing mount is going to have 16mm holes through it, and 14mm is not going to be right.

Maybe they are boring out the bush centre?? Or get their own made?

They still use the standard 16mm or 5/8 bolts. So not too sure what bush they’re using, I did ask before I bought them and they said they do try and retain factory bushes. But that obviously isn’t the case

It still may be a factory bush of some sort. Im only measureing the single one I have....

Ill be calling them this week to see if I can buy some for my project.

yep, looks like factory Nissan bushes. Axle end has been bored out to accept LR 16mm bolt. The chassis end is supplied with a 14mm bolt.

Very easy crew to deal with and quick service :thumbsup:

They are Patrol bushes (I asked Superior about that). The hole in the bush on the diff end is re-drilled to accomodate the bigger LR bolts.

Been running these things for almost a year...and apart from the length issue creating the axle to steer on flex (regular pin style arms suffer the same effect obviously) im really happy with them.

I went with these as they have a lifetime warranty against bending, are made locally..and for $400 you cannot go wrong imho.
My other option on a budget was TF HD trailing arms, and Superpro bushes (which still flog out if you get it flexy regularly) total for that was going to be $275 for the arms, and $180 Bushes - Total $455

They do use Factory Nissan GU/GQ Patrol lower control arm bushes BOTH ends...but the axle end bush has the crush tube drilled out to 16mm ID from the std 14mm ID. You can do this yourself if you have the tools to do it.
Ive given these plenty of abuse offroad...and bushes are still going strong.

They havnt limited the flex at all, still get the same as the pic below when I was running my own cranked arms.

For a bolt in replacement, I would always recommend these over any other arm....OTHER THAN going to a proper long arm kit!
