1926 Fordson tractor on snow - spiral 'tracks'

Thought this was pretty interesting, because firstly it is from 1926 and secondly because it wouldn't be a bad idea for a Land Rover in snow or mud.

It is some sort of prototype snow going tractor.

For the tractor lovers amongst us.

The vid is a bit long (unless you are passionate about tractors) but if you skip forward, you can see it towing 20 tonnes of logs, and also adapted to run under a Model T ford.

    Cheers
    David

Thanks for sharing, that is amazing, the way it skoots across the snow with speed.

I think this invention has been attributed to a Russian who devloped the spiral drive system for military use. Cool, nevertheless!
