Is it an Austin Gypsy or Champ?????????![]()
i have an idea but will pass for the minute, as i was about to post a car up of the same manufacturer as what i suspect this is, if its not what i think it is, i will post up next car
Post #75 is a Crossley. The company commenced business as an engine maker in around 1850. Made cars up until 1937, also made trucks and buses and passed into the ownership of AEC, made badge engineered AEC's and was closed about 1958. The engine company was split off, passed through several hands and is now a name used for some lines produced by a major industrial engine maker in England.

Not a car, but an engine from a car. Who can name this one? I bet few of you have ever heard of this maker.
Clue:- Also made high performance cylinder heads.

It's a Buckland B3 built by Dick Buckland in Llanwern, Monmouthshire.
Souped Ford Kent engine driving through a Reliant Robin axle.
130mph and 0-60 before you can think about it!
I've been round the Le Mans circuit in his hillclimb special.
