I still own the first house that I bought - it is located in the NSW Central Coast suburb of Tascott between Woy Woy and Gosford.

While the house is very basic it is in a great area with water views (glimpses) in a natural bush setting.

I have just evicted the tenant for not paying rent - they also have not paid the water bill, the electricity bill or the $400 waste skip they ordered.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on repairs to the inside of the house, killing off the rats that were also living in the house, getting it painted and carpeted.

As the block is steep the tenants decided that the grounds did not need maintaining so now the 600m2 block is covered in lantana, various woody weeds, bush and saw tooth fern.

Also this little fella lives there . A diamond python that has had lunch - one of the rats that escaped I hope.

I am always surprised how just a small and slender front end can fit in such a fat dina.

He got caught in some bird netting and now lives down the front of my place.

Having done a lot of work on the inside of the house, I decided that I would get one of the local garden maintenance places (a well known Aust wide franchise) to clear the vegetation from the block and take to the tip - no landscaping required. Based on Real Estate advice I was expecting the quote to be around $1200 - well no - was $3500 to clear a sloping household block of overgrown - no rubbish.

Hmm on that price me and my 101 and its winch might be back there next week moving stuff.

So anyone from the Central Coast - can you recommend some block cleanup companies who might be interested in a job for a reasonable price?

Thanks

Garry
