It will be a tough tour. Just what is needed before the Europe trip. When you think about it, the Wallabies have only lost one game out of the last eleven, & that was to the All Blacks, mind you, sometimes you have to wonder how they've won so many. Especially when its almost been a different side on the paddock each game, thru injury, or selection. The make up of the side for the World cup is still a mystery.
Skelton is only 22, but a huge young man. McKenzie is concerned about his fitness, he is carrying a lot of weight, and can't jump in the line out. At best he would get time off the bench on the tour, but he should get 3 full games in the NRC. He's still growing, both in body & experience. Pocock has to come back, but after his injury, talk is he may be lock. Hooper is playing the open side flanker game the Wallabies need, Pocock would be better value at No. 8 than Palu, is the opinion around the traps. Stephen Moore is regarded as the Captain needed for the World cup.
Genia, Cooper, Foley, Phipps, are tipped to tour Europe and the halves will be selected from them. Foley & Phipps are favourites, but you just never know. O'Connor is tipped as a certain winger, considering his form in France , and he can play other positions. Of course, a lot depends on injuries, & recovery from injury. Time will tell. But the Wallabies of next year will look different from this year. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
