Samoan team in a bit of trouble.

Capsicum spray was used during a wild brawl involving NRL stars in Brisbane. When NRL players from the Samoan national team brawled with another group of men in Brisbane, police were forced to use capsicum spray. Potentially four Samoan players could be suspended from the fight outside Fortitude Valley nightclub Hot Gossip on Sunday morning. Cowboys center Tautau Moga was arrested and charged with public nuisance and Bulldogs veteran Reni Maitua was also caught up in the fray. Maitua is contracted to the Bulldogs next season, but has strict behaviour guidelines after an incident involving a taxi driver in Sydney last year. The NRL is sifting through the police incident report and their integrity unit may make a call on suspensions today. Samoa plays England at Lang Park this Saturday night in the opening of the Four Nations tournament,a double header that also features Australia against New Zealand. Eight men, several of whom are part of the Samoan team, face court on November 4.

It is understood none of the Samoan players were directly sprayed with capsicum. "The NRL Integrity Unit has been conducting interviews in relation to the Samoan team incident," an NRL spokesman said yesterday. The loss of Moga will be a major blow for Samoa.

Bloody hell, this is the last thing the NRL needs leading into what promises to be a fantastic tournament. I don't want to comment on the incident as details are very thin at the minute. It could be a case of drunk players being stupid,or simply players defending themselves against some drunk fools. Either way players can't put themselves in these situations.

BBC Sport - Four Nations: England's James Graham skipper against Samoa

And how the Kiwis are shaping up.

    NZRL

I have no idea how any of the results are going to play out this weekend. All four teams are very strong. It will be a awesome day of football guys.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Good stuff, big Sam deserves it. But to be honest i am not convinced he has left himself enough time to properly learn union to be effective in the world cup.

Interesting match up, Kieran Foran V Dale Cherry-evans. Foran has the experience in the position, I think the Kiwis will exploit that line of attack, Bob

News from Manly, Rick Penn has bought out Quantum energy Co, and now has 90% of the club. With the Penn/ Quantum team, the Manly board was dysfunctional, now they say they will keep Whatmough, Stewart, Matai, Cherry-evans & Foran. We''ll see.

I think this could be Englands year. Be great to see a fair dinkum contest, like the days of Tommy Bishop & Co. I think the only thing holding the Kiwis back is their coach. Bob

Must admit i am a fan of Kearney, but i also understand he is not the most technical of coaches. I think the Kiwis have enough class players to win the four nations. As for England, the players that are in the NRL are the only ones i am familiar with,so a lot of their squad is a unknown to me so its hard for me to say how they will go.But if the rest of them have the same heart and courage as James Graham give them the trophy now. Samoa have put together a strong squad also, but will lack the polish to match the grunt. I cant ignore Australia at all, that would be foolish,I just wonder how having that many new faces in the team will go. But to be realistic they are the number 1 team in the world, and are very well coached. This is the sort of tournament international rugby league needs.

God knows what is happening at Manly. Sounds like days of our lives down there.

12 All at half time,New Zealand could easily be ahead by more. But it has been a good game so far. Both sides are looking a bit rusty at the moment.
