It seems the Russians are trying to boost the number of fans. I have seen some footage of their comps and I have to say there is a few talented blokes running around over there.

I am bloody happy the All Stars game is going ahead!!!! The Indigenous boys always play with pride for their people. I think Preston Campbell should be very proud of getting this off the ground.

I read today the greatest Manly player of all time (IMO) Steve Menzies has 100% thrown his support behind Willie Mason and says he could be the man to keep Manly at the top. I rate the 'beaver' very highly and value his thoughts on the game. He also gave big wraps on Peta Hiku which after a brilliant four nations for NZ is a very good signing for Manly. I have been hearing a few whispers about the Dragons being a much different team next season, with the players really believing in what the coach is doing.

Menzies is one of my favourite players, he was brilliant. Mason & Hiku are definitely assets. Mason can play, but he is also a character, much like Manu, for the Warriors. Can't wait for the season to start, Bob

Brent Tate has been announced as a mentor for the U18's Origin side. Personally I think that is a great move,he will bring experience and knowledge to the youngsters and help give them the tools needed to excel. Tatey is very active in the community up here and is very respected. Smart move by Meninga

Two great players. My wife is a rusted on Manly supporter, having been born & raised at Manly. Her nephew played league with Cliffy Lyons in the 2nd Div. comp, when he retired from the NRL.. When told about how big a fan she was, Lyons passed on his playing registration card when he gave the lower div. away, and it resides with Bobby Fultons jumper from the 1973 season, framed with the official program inside. Not sure how she scored that, but her Dad was postmaster at Dee Why, and her uncle was a First Grade linesman[ biggest claim to fame was getting Malcolm Reilly sent off] And me a Broncos supporter. Soon to be Fortitude Valley supporter, again. Bob
