Hey guys - yeah I will attempt in a minute to post a photo.
Its of Australian origin due to the obvious "Australian Police" markings.
I have shown it to a few patch collectors, who have all told me that they have never seen it before, and seeing that they cannot identify it - it must a fake apparently!
I have a suspicion that it might belong to a police service serving overseas (eg Timor) and they may have designed a patch to identify the Australian Police Services generally.
But at this stage.... still no confirmation.
Hope someone can assist.

Can someone tell me how to post an image please?
Hope this works... fingers crossed.

Here's a larger view. Sorry about the other one - was just a test to see if it worked, but now I have worked out how to add the photo direct to the forum.
Let me know what you think???

Not being a patch expert
by the look of it, it appears to be based on an AFP badge, similar colour etc.
Was probably made up privately for one of those overseas deployments, as you suggest may have been timor or the islands. Possibly the islands as i think Timor was done under the auspices of the Un and they had there own patch.
I'll give a mate who went to east timor a yell and see if he is familiar with it, when I work out how to put this on an email.

that was easier than I thought its done.

Thanks John - you're a legend. Yeah I haven't had much luck as I have said before. I'm not a real fanatical patch collector, but a few patches have caught my eyes - mainly police patches. This patch in particular caught my attention as I didn't recognise it, but thought that it might have some significance.

Mate thats not a problem, I don;t know about the legend bit, this is more fun that trying to work out why , you name it some landrover problem.
I have a couple of other friends that are heavily into patches as well. But yours I am guessing is a limited run. So Lex would be the best bet. I'll let you know when he gets back to me.
