Thread: Stamps .......

Its like coming out of the closet isnt it......

Recently my girlfriend - now wife to be was soaking some stamps she had collectied, i happened to pipe up and say i had a tin of stamps inthe garage from when i was a kid, the next thing you know the loungeroom floor was covered in them for a number of weeks until we got out albums, and the 30,000 other stamps we bought sorted out.... She stared it now shes over it and im left keeping on.... doenst bother me - gives me something to do at night rather than sit at this infernal computer. Its not until i dont go out on weekend that ill seek Help!!! i tells ya !!!!

I'll put you out of your misery, I've got millions of stamps, a good portion are mine but mostly my late fathers, a collection spanning 70 years, almost every Aussie stamp (the rare ones), some great war years collection specially Adophs face on German stamps, (we had family in Germany pre 1939). Family in the US since 1946 so have thousands of old US stamps as well.

I've got two cousins around my age in the FBI (field agents) that still send me stamps to this day. Ones in Florida the other in Texas interesting guys, you may remember an old movie "The Falcon And the Snowman - late 80's", one was featured in this famous drug bust that he was largely responsible for, arresting not selling. :wink:

I've got all the Aussie stamp books up to the late 80's then I stopped, will sell them all one day, no longer a collecting hobby.
