I watch all the F1 races even though its as boring as but the pit stops which will determine the winner
    is terribly exciting.

    Sigh.

But I've only been once, I'm getting on in years now, so I don't enjoy the crowds, and the TV coverage is great for me,...Wifey & I sit back with a bottle of something & enjoy the telecast. This year I am also enjoying seeing the input of Roger Penske into the DJR Supercar Team.
So, I'm looking forward to this afternoon. If Vettel can win the start, I believe He'll have a chance, if He doesn't then I reckon Lewis will drive off into the sunset.

It's not a patch on the old Adelaide race. The Adelaide race was something special. I lived for quite a few years on Fawkner Park and couldn't be arsed walking to the Melbourne GP, but I never missed a race in Adelaide.

Agreed...love the strategy of the pit stops...in this instance, it was quite exciting to watch whether Vettel could pull off a quick pit stop in order to get back out in front of Hamilton. Adds another dimension to the race, other than just seeing the fastest driver with the fastest car go round and round in front.

^^ The leaders might have made only one pit stop, which some might not like, but the intensity of the fights created by cars that test drivers to their limits for the first time in years, made for a compelling afternoon.
A well deserved win for Ferrari I believe. From where I was sitting Vettel was driver of the day and Ferrari were team of the day with their strategy. It's nice to see a change and hopefully the new cars will make the season a bit more entertaining. Hamilton did well to congratulate Vettel as his bottom lip was a bit shaky and I think Bottas was a bit bewildered by it all. He could be a threat to Hamilton later on.
