No plan B...
I realise that Australia hasn't batted yet - but at 6/538 this is starting to get embarrassing..
I'm at work so only checking the scores via the Internet, but it's almost like Australia doesn't have a plan B ??![]()

I rekon that they should give Pain a bowl - I think everybody else in the team has had a crack, so why not...?![]()

And bring pat Cummings higher up in the batting order
The worst thing is, there was no plan A.

the first 3 hours today should tell the story
as much as i dislike warne, the man seems to be on the winning side of the off field debate at the moment.

Well one major aspect of this Test, I believe, is that on this wicket, it was a very bad toss to lose,...it looks to be a pretty good batting wicket, so maybe, if the Aussies had won the toss, things would be a bit different. It's interesting, and I don't have the actual numbers, but I think I heard it said, Tim's lost 6 of his last 7 toss's,....& yes I know there's only 4 tests in this series!

The toss, the wicket, the weather, whatever, is all irrelevant if you’ve got the players. Australia doesn’t have the players. It’s a young team with few wise heads.
There is a clear lack of strategy, patience, focus and passion. The whole team are hanging their heads. They’re trying but not with the same commitment as previous Aussie teams. It’s not only the team either. The crowds have been small and the National passion for cricket seems to be waning. Compare that to India where the players are revered as deities by a rapturous population of 1.5 billion.
There’s unlikely to be a miraculous Aussie comeback. ...Perhaps not even for a few years. Our talent pool is very small. Football is king. And playing beach cricket (or whatever) is more fun than watching the grass grow at the SCG. ...but as I’m not at the beach this weekend I’ll probably keep watching the cricket a bit, in the vain hope of seeing an Aussie batsman show some fortitude.
Agree the toss was a bad one to lose as it was in Melbourne too, but as mentioned that shouldn't be the difference between winning and losing if the team is a good one. Biggest problem is that these are about the best we have - are following generations going to play Cricket in the numbers they have in the past or is this the start of a long slide for Aussie Cricket? We don't seem to have anywhere near the passion we used to have for the game and not even close to India's love of it which will see them dominant for many years I would expect.

I'd get used to it,, Cricket in India is GOD... and when the talent pool is THAT big,,![]()
