Those of us old enough will remember that the ground effect cars could travel nose to tail and actually pass as the vast majority of down force was generated by the tunnels.
The front wings if even fitted (half the time they weren't to clean up the air flow into the tunnels) were merely trim tabs to balance the car.
Everyone involved in motor racing at a pro or semi pro level has known this since the late eighties but it's taken until now to address it??!!
Hopefully these new regs do the trick.
And the FIA needs to revoke Ferraris veto.
