I used to play that one. Fantastic gameplay. Never played online though.

Where is the Aussie forces mod available from? Just the main website?

from the mods developers here http://www.users.on.net/~arkanis/bf2/

you need to have BF2 patched to version 1.41 though. It's great fun. I only play single player as well, no decent net connection at home to make it worthwhile.

Thanks. I'll wait to the weekend though as we only have ISDN at work. Not sure on the BF2 patch size but the Oz patch was between 4 and 5 hundred mb. Not fun on 128k.

On ya Paul. Have not had the oportunity to race online yet. Internet connection is new, and the ex-servicemans pension seems to need spending on lots of useless stuff, like, food, rent, etc. Won't be long now though, only 30 something Aus dollars for lifetime subscription. Might even be a way to run a game server through a VPN. Private race league so to speak. Go into the test area of the game setup, if you haven't subscribed, and play with the 2 Ltr Turbo, it just spins in any gear till you get a handle on it. Uphill. down dale, throttle up equals reverse out of the corner.

    Shorty.

No-ones mention good "ol "Cammand & Conquer and the Warcraft games.

Real time strategy...Man I started playing C&C back in 1995 on my then kick **** Pentium 100...

They have just released C&C 3...It's getting really good wraps..
My old computer would struggle too much to play it...However have been massaging the boss(wife) and think I my be able to upgrade soon..

These two games are timeless..1000's of hours of fun
