Somewhere fast, but nowhere interesting.
The later X19's were 1500 with 5 speed box which New Zealand of course got before us. I had a number of Fiats and never found the mechanicals a problem but they would rust away before your eyes if you weren't careful.Quote:

Just got to be the TVR out of Russia. A brutal old fashioned brit style Big six up front two seats and rear wheel drive. A six cylinder sporter capable of 180 MPH. If you really NEED to go faster than that, then you should probably think about something with wings on it.

The Fiat - something only a mother could love for its looks.Quote:

Hey p38rover
I've got a 1965 1.6l Guila Sprint GT Veloce at home. Bought it from the original owner in the mid nineties took it off the road in 2000 when I bought an 84 GTV 2.0l - both are very nice to drive.
Oh and I've also got a 1925 Fiat 501 which had been on blocks for 50 years under a house at Buranda, now its been under our house for 16 years or so
Then the rangies...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Ron.
Thirty years after my X1/9 was created, it is still a head turner.
Curiously tho (and for all) it doesn't rust.... but the lone FIAT component,
the engine, is problematic......
One day I'll pull it all down and solve its drivetrain issues......

Oh I dunno about that, I heard rusting out fuel tanks in the X1/9 was an issue. I know a bloke that had to replace his.
