Anyone wanna take a run at this?

Found this today in the dirt at the main farm... My family have been on the place since the late 1800's, so I'm guessing it belonged to one of them, what it's for I don't know... Anyone got any ideas?

My guess is blacksmithing or leather working of some sort.

A neighbour suggested a curling iron, but I think it would be too small.

Blacksmithing 'tongs', this type is used to hold cylindrical items firmly. Allows a strong grip to work on the object while hot...

    Nice find!

Thanks for that, I have a heap of blacksmith tongs, but these are tiny in comparison, but I think you are most likely right, I guess they were for very little jobs !

They must be pretty old, I couldn't hesitate a guess really, but possibly up to 100 years.
