Australia V New Zealand, but, France is the dark horse, because it's at home
Australia aren't playing at there best though
Another weekend of exciting rugby with no real upsets and the big nations still on course for the quarter finals.
The Tongans went close to upsetting a second string Springbok line-up but the Boks closed out the match and the first team to enter the QF's.
England finally showed they "can" actually play rugby with a win over the Samoans. They should follow the Springboks through to the QF's but after the performance against the Boks, the Tongans might feel the pommies are ripe for the picking. England should take this one but stranger things have happend in rugby.
Only two pool matches of any interest remain with Argentina taking on Ireland and Scotland going up against Italy for the second spot in Pool C. Argentina will treat this one as a do or die .. losing against Ireland could still relegate them to second in the pool and a possible QF with the All Blacks. France will be hoping for an Irish upset as it will give them a chance to get top honours in the pool and avoid a confrontation with the tournament favourites.
So with the QF's looming, these are the likely encounters we can look forward to:
QF 1: Australia vs England
QF 2: New Zealand vs France
QF 3: South-Africa vs Wales
QF 4: Argentina vs Scotland
Who will reach the semi finals and who do you tip for the final clash in Saint-Denis?

Australia vs New Zealand in the semi finals. Sorry Baz, I don't think you guys will get past the kiwis this time .. they've been planning revenge on the Wallas since the last world cup. Maybe the French can take a bit of wind out of their sails in the QF's.
off topic, sorry greylandy....did you race at forster on the weekend, i was listening to macca on the abc on sunday and a guy called in and had a chat about it
Hi Kelvin,
No, we were hosting a 24hr race on the Central Coast. Unfortunately we could not come to an agreement with the organisers of the Anaconda so the races were scheduled on the same weekend. I think numbers were affected at both events.
I think the AB's will have it, even if they wear that terrible outfit they had on this morning..
I recon, the wallabies will still improve and give the all blacks their toughest game of the series. Also I can't believe the all blacks will let this one slip away.![]()
don't discount the french, o.k. so they're playing in cardiff but it's only across the pond and still technically a home game for them - though the welsh conitingent at the groung will be supporting the all backs, and i'm sorry but if the blacks win that one then they should take it away with relative ease...
unless the welsh can turn it on![]()

Yip, the kiwis don't mind the old choke .. but surely with such a strong team they will take it out this year. Unfortunately for the blacks they will have it tough in the QF's and semis.
I agree Taff, the French will be up there but they screwed themselves by losing to Argentina in the opening game. That means a QF against the All-Blacks and surely an exit out of the tournament.
