The Clap.

I've always been interested in where expressions come from,, you know, as usefull as a third armpit, wouldnt touch it with a 10ft barge pole,, that sort of stuff.
some are hand me downs from family, some just general life stuff that have survived over centuries, let the cat out of the bag, 3 sheets to the wind,etc.

but what about physical expression?

what about the clap.

the whole world knows it as an expression of thanks, of appreciation. But who started it? and why would clapping your hands mean Well Done?

any ideas??

This nickname actually refers to a treatment used to clear the urethra of bacteria blocking urination, where the penis would be 'clapped' on both sides simultaneously. This treatment is rarely used today but the slang term remains.

So where will you find a virgin.

I tried to find one for the raffle draw but every one I tested wasn't one.

also:
