Hey Jason and Karen and WhiteD3 and Gillie, my heart goes out to all of you. I have a partial understanding of what you're enduring as my 18 year old son (I'm 50) has had OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) now for around 3 - 4 years. It can be a real strain on a family and to have support from those you love is vital and you're lucky to have it. Talking to you specifically there Jason, and the others (D3 and Gillie) are saints for providing support as they have for their families. I think this thread in particular is indicative of the support and love we feel for you, even though most of us don't know you in person. It has to be the most quickly subscribed thread I've read here; so many responses and support in such a short time. I can't believe I missed it. I agree with all those positive comments from so many and you are truly braver than you realise. Great to see the mug shots, too. Always good to put a face to the name. The way the mind controls us, all of us, is such a strange thing. Why do some people get depressed, etc when others don't? Jason, I think you've got some damn good reasons for your "condition", for want of a better word. Mate, given what I've read about your childhood you're doing really well to where you are now, so you really are a survivor and fighter. Jason, if it were any other condition I'd be there in a heartbeat to help, but obviously that won't help here, will it?! You're already taking huge steps in your own self help and treatment just by starting this thread and then maintaining it; it shows true courage and committment. In fact, I'm in awe of you; truly, cos I don't think I'd have the same level of courage. I sincerely take my hat off to you; and it's a big hat! :) BTW, sexy beast of a truck. What other vehicle of the same vintage can look that good. Oh, apart from our wives of course. lol. As with all the others, I offer my help and encouragement if you ever need it.
cheers Gerald
