Still busted Jim. :(:(
LT's back on line :D
did a duplicate post, did not know how to delete whole post, so thought I would do another post adding that yesterday was a council clean-up day, and picked up two better bikes than mine. One of these pushbikes has disk brakes, but have to get wheels and tyres for it, otherwise bike is complete [not counting lights for night riding]. Other one I rode yesterday after swapping my existing wheels onto it. Was astounded what good stuff was thrown out.
Yeah, John we are having Council Clean up day at the moment and they haven't got to my place yet and we have had heavy rain, everything was nice and tidy but after the rain all the cardboard boxes have collapsed and every thing is waterlogged, we thru a double matress out and now that it is wet it weighs a ton, hope they still take it, it might be over the weight level they are allowed to pick up!!!;)
I had a friend George Rollo, who ran in and completed the Sydney to surf at 83 years of age. He used to go skiing with Hazel, a widow who was a bit older than him. One day I was hitch hiking and got a lift with a woman in her seventies who had sailed solo around the world three times and was about to set of for the fourth time around the world. She never made the record books because she would pull into an Island for a couple of weeks during her solo voyages.
So you are only as old as you feel, and I have met people who feel 150 years old.
On the other hand I knew a guy of around 40 years of age who ended up in a nursing home at that age, being found in a gutter at Kings Cross unable to communicate with no ID---wallet presumably stolen.
