The last I heard is they are OK, but have no power and are using a generator, to keep them going. I will suggest to my daughter that she buys one also, would be a good investment I think!!!!
we have had abit over 2 inches today so far averaging 3-4mm an hour so very light rain but i guess tonight will tell. if we were to get 1 inch of heavy rain it would flood nicely as we have already had 100mm this week.
I have missed the news but was just checking with papa if it was flooding yet and he said that newcastle is copping it now.
so how bad is the wind and rain?
That house I just showed you is about 100 metres from this beach.....

My daughters place is about 200 metres.:D They have bought an acre of land a bit further out, about 500 metres from the beach, where they intend to build!!:D
It will be interesting to see the before and after photos.
Jim I'd say you went at the right time to see your daughter
Well Tony the photo above is obviously the "before" photo, I would say the beach would be pretty washed out now. Mrs. Aus and myself are saying how lucky we are not to be there now, missed it by a week and a half or as Maxwell Smart would say....."missed it by thaaat much":D
Well i think the heavy rains have gone.Had light misty rain this morning that was it.Got lots of washing to get done though..Opened the shed smorning & looks like a lot of water went through it , No major damage ..My big trolley jack is wet again so more rust on the wheels :(..Every thing else is dry enough though..Looking into getting one of those Large sheds from Harvey Normans there 6 meters by 3 meters with the 2 doors at the front..Have to get permision off owner & agent but i think if we get to much trouble with this we are going to start looking for another house to rent..We should'nt need council permision for it as there was a large single garage here at some stage thats rotted away.So hopefully the owner & agent sees that to..One can hope..
We are fine Jason, still no power and cut off on an Island from the Logan River:) The genny is giving me a headache though:(
Been cut off many times before....
