Hi mate, one of the products I stock is Niteize who do an LED upgrade that suits the C and D cell maglites. I cant help with the reflector but the bulb is a simple replacement of the normal fillament bulb but is an LED, its no different to changing the current bulb with one the same.

There are 2 available, one is a less powerful bulb and is $20 the other is a 1 watt bulb, is shock resistant and costs $35 (I noticed the local gunshop in town was selling this model for $48 bucks)

Add $4 for postage, the pack will just fit in a padded envelope.

Whats the cost of the M7R? Does it have the same features as the MT7 or does the rechargeable version miss out on some? Also can the M7R be left on the car charger or will that damage the battery and is the wall mount suitable for mounting the torch in the car?

I'd be looking at something like the M7R plus pouch plus car charger kit.

I think I've found a new bday present that the missus can get me

Hi Stuee, check out the link below, in short yes the M7R comes with the same features as the MT7, but check the link and work through that aswell, it demonstrates the functions of each, the M7R is listed with these.

    Led Lenser M-Series

Ok, in relation to the mounting it in the car question, yes you can.

You need to buy Part ZL0380 which is a car adaptor which replaces the 240v plug on the end of the charging lead with a Cig lighter socket fitting and the USB plug on the end of the cord from the charger plugs into this so you can wire a cig lighter socket to somewhere in the car that has constant power and mount the charging cradle into the car.

Cost for the torch, the cig lighter socket plug for the car and a pouch is:
$160 for the torch (RRP $230)
$15 for the Cig Socket adaptor (RRP $22- Dick Smith Sells them for $20)
$15 for the sheath- it doesnt come with one so i've got the supplier looking for one that fits the best. It wont be a 100% fit but will more than adequately carry the torch.

    Total Price delivered: $190.

Is the car charger just a 12v cig lighter plug to usb converter then? If so I already have on of these which I use for the my mp3 player and phone. This is what it appears when I just had a look then but if you could confirm that would be great.

Pending that put me down for the torch (M7R) and sheath only at this stage and PM me with payment details

    Cheers

Trying to decide on the P7 or the Police Focus model. I want it for the 4WD and camping. Any recommendations?

Also, what is the gunholder? I'm assuming it holds the torch.
How can this be mounted in your 4WD?

    Thanks Nigel

Hi Nigel, check out this link for details on the gun mount

Gun Mount - LED LENSER Optoelectronics

I doubt it would be suitable for use mounting the torch in a vehicle, well not if you wanted to get the torch out and take it outside and use it. If you wanted it mounted somewhere permanently then I guess it could be used.

If you want something to clip it onto in the car there is a clip that is designed to clip onto a belt, the clip just goes over your belt and there is a u-shaped clip that the torch clips into when you arent using it. You could modify that and fix it inside the car somewhere to clip the torch into. But if you modified it you wont be able to use it on your belt anymore as i'd suggest you would need to cut the bit that goes around the inside of your belt off to give you a flat surface to fix to something in the car.

As for whether the P7 or the Police Tech Focus is a better choice for general 4wding use I'd go for the Police Tech Focus, similar performance, its smaller and more compact and its cheaper.

Clip will set you back $12 if you get one with the torch.

The the Police Tech focus also comes with a pouch.

The gun mount is for mounting the torch to 21-25mm scopes.
