    Pre scrapmetal Run/Yard clean

in the process of getting prepped for a scrap metal run.

Im turfing off some 2.25 series engines, and winch ropes on this run, If you want something for nix+postage let me know.

The engines will be stripped into primary components for ease of handling, and metal recylcing reasons.

Disposal will commence SAT 041000JUN11. anything earmarked and not picked up or confirmed for pick up at a later date will go SAT111000JUN11.

dave I could really do with a thermostat housing off the 2.25 if you have one in good nic.

also if any of them have the 8 blade fan on the front wouldn't say no to that either.

want it complete with the waterpump?

will dig it out.. oh series III or II?

and you don't need the 8 blade fan. the 4 with a decent shroud is ample unless you have other engine/cooling system problems.

    ones a series II

    ADDENDUM...

one of the engines was a series II engine the head was in goodish order with none of the valves siezed, the headgasket was still adhered to both the block and the head the rocker gear still had black oil on it.

from this engine I have saved

The head (will need derusting and probably a good measure up prior to use)
The timing cover (will need cleaning up and a new timing seal)
the water pump (8 hole style)
the thermostat housing (will need cleanup)
The crankshaft (the bearing shells look near new)
the bell housing adaptor (with a timing cover no less)

I suspect this engine might have been an ex mil unit as it had the coil mounted on the side of the engine and a double pully on the crank. (but not the fan or the generator)

The cause of this engines demise was piston failure/over heating It may have also taken a gut full of water as one of the rods looked a little twisted.
