    Prawns to Melbourne

    Gday All,

Just curious to see if would be any interest in prawns at the moment.

The company that I work for has 10 boats working in the same fishery as me and have some stock left over.

They would be Endeavour prawns count is 10/20 so it an in-between size to the 2 sizes that we offer.

They are packed the same way in 3kg boxes, and I would need to have similar amounts to what I normally need to make it viable say (9 x 9kg boxes)

Prices would be $45 per 3kg box.

I would be looking at having them in Melbourne by end feb early march, I will just have to see about the freight schedules.

    Let me know if Interested.

    Cheers Ean

I am happy to wait till the weekend, but just remember it takes 8 days for you to recieve them, so if I send them next week, you get them the week after..

I'd love to get a couple of boxes and given more time i'm sure i could get a few orders from work but sadly i doubt you'll get the numbers you need to make it viable this time, more notice would probably help but due to lack of response from other members i'd say this wont go ahead.

Standard shelf life in cold storage..-22 is 12-18 months, my advice if keeping in domestic freezer is 3 months max.

This is obviously if thay have not been thawed before, once thawed and if re-frozen then half that at best.

Ah memories. I flew on contract to Raptis aerial prawn spotting in the Gulf for 3 seasons. Had so many prawns then, I've barely touched hem since . I'd be interested, but I'm away a fair bit ATM and they'd go to waste.
