Murray, thanks for the answers. Another question regarding the dual wheel carrier - is there any provision for mounting the license plate and light???

saw your carriers today Murray they looked the goods
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
I also had a look at the carriers today and I thought they were very good. I particularly liked the locking mechanism that Murray has devised. It is far, far superior to that on my Kaymar wheel carrier.
Don't tell Murray that I may have to copy that to my Kaymar.
I also liked the positive stop on the bar to stop it swinging too wide. It doesn't rely on the locking mechanism to stop it swinging. Very good.
I thought Murray's light poles were excellent, too, and that they use a locking gland to stop the cables being pulled out. I've never seen that before.

Must have missed you at the show Lou, it's always good to meet forum members, chatted to quite a few on the day.
Stops the cables pulling out and stops the water and dust getting in. There's a very well known brand of light pole which has the back of the switch and terminals fully exposed to the weather. It always annoys me when I see one, so I had to come up with something better.
Cheers, Murray

G'day Baz,
Do you just want the jerry holders or do you want to build a whole swing arm, latch etc to fit to the existing Kaymar stub axle.
With a few dimensions, a swing arm etc can be made from standard components which I have.
I'm in the process of redesigning my jerry holders so there are less welds and more folds. These would probably be some weeks away.
Cheers, Murray

Yes Murray, just the holder to go into the existing swing arm.
We only use the two spare wheels for our longer trips in remote areas, we want to be able take the spare off to carry water for shorter trips without the camper.
Baz.
Cheers Baz.
