To answer your question on EGTs, you need to know the base peak EGTs for your engine before doing chip-tuning. However Swisschip has passed all the maximum and minimum temperature, humidity and air pressure tests (EMITEL), so there won't be any detrimental issues. There will be no aftermarket-tuning that is approved by car manufacturers. We are saying "untraceable" because it is the easiest not to mess with the manufacturers with warranty since they will try anything to void your warranty.

How does EMITEL which is EMF emissions testing certification have anything to do with Exhaust Gas Temp?
I also am concerned as the literature States "no increase in boost" but in a second piece of data "our box optimises fuel and raises boost as required"
I'm concerned, as in testing NO intercept box has ever maintained safe EGTs in Australian testing.
Even remapping requires understanding that EGTs will run higher and EGT gauges are recommended strongly.

Im also concerned about high EGTs.
Any test results would be appreciated,as you claim no effect on warranty.
The D4 has a hard drive that is constantly recording,much like an aircraft black box,we are warned of this in the drivers handbook.
I dont know how much data is retained,Im guessing LRA will see any spikes of high EGT and matching throttle/torque settings that are above normal.
I have seen data logging from my CAT grader,its all there to see when the techs service the machine,brilliant technology for problem solving/protecting their warranty payouts.
I suspect the electronics in a D4 are far more sophisticated than a CAT grader.

Having recently fitted an upstream egt probe to a range rover sport (admittedly 'only' a earlier 2.7 tdv6) that does a far amount of towing, it has shown that even under moderate acceleration while towing, especially in high ambients at slow road speeds (climbing hills) it is quite easy to approach high (650 to 700 C) upstream temps.
