Thread: Safety Device Approved AU Roll Cages

Landybitz have been working closely with Safety Device with the aim to have a number of Internal/External cages approved for vehicle use.

Having recently obtained approval for both the Toyota 200 Series and Hilux Double Cab models here in Australia, we have now selected the most popular Defender cages that would require approval, ( some of the others do not need approval )

These are the cages we will be offering

Defender 90
1. External only: Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top With Bulkhead 6 Point Bolt-in Roll Cage | Safety Devices

Defender 110
2. External only: Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon 4 Point Bolt-in Roll Cage | Safety Devices

3. Internal/external: Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon Multi Point Bolt-in Roll Cage | Safety Devices

4. Mainly internal but some external: Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon Multi Point Bolt-in Roll Cage | Safety Devices

Defender 130
5. Internal/external: Land Rover Defender 130 High Capacity Crew/Double Cab Pick-Up Multi Point Bolt-in Roll Cage | Safety Devices

Once a particular cage is certified by our Approved Engineer then that cage is approved for use AU wide. We then offer a fitting service in our approved workshop, Approved workshops/Persons can also be found AU wide.

The larger cages take up to 20 hours to Install.

Roof Racks

The original G4 Expedition rack is still available for Defender and Disco 1/2

We also have a newer Explorer Rack.

It comes as a flat deck, a short luggage rail, long rail and complete rail. It is designed to take most roof tents which can be affixed without the need for a deck. It comes in lengths of 2.0m, 2.8m and 1.6m (for the 130).
