Best to shoot an email to the maker and ask for trouble shooting

As advertised it is a reader and resetter not a programmer.
To make alterations to vehicle features you need to spend the money on a Nanocom or a Hawkeye.

Could someone explain why this would be a good thing to have in my toolbox, I hope to do a lot of remote travel. N.B not a smartarse question.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
    apologies to Socrates

Hi Andy, a code reader is a good companion to have with you when traveling. Today's Land rovers have a lot of electronic components /computers like sensors for air, fuel, temps, braking, transmission, engine management.
When something fails it can leave you stranded not knowing what might be the cause . The average bush mechanic has no idea on the new systems involve.
Having a code reader can ASSIST you in fault tracing, it will allow you to search and eliminate possible causes. Where as the guessing game means unnecessary expensive parts can be thrown at the vehicle in the hope that it'll fix it.
Readers are by all means not the be all and end all, but are a tool to help assist you.
    Regards,
    Mario

I have a brand new TF 930 for sale that's extra to my needs as I went ahead and grabbed a competitors product so I could adjust the suspension.

    $230 first in best dressed.
