Replacement turbo arrived in today's post. Many thanks to Jose. Will try and get it fitted up during the week. Already have the larger intercooler in, just need to sort out a boost box and fuel map to suit.

    Cheers

My new intercooler arrived yesterday. So I now have the goodies, just got to find time to fit them.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Just finished installing Jose's map after installing the turbo and Allisport IC a couple of weeks ago. Currently running 18 psi boost (VDO gauge) and the old 130 flys!! Not used to the car being able to keep accelerating beyond 120kmh. Very happy with the results

Nick. I am about to do this myself. My son is in town as I speak to get me an SD card.

Can you give me a brief run down on the procedure and what size SD card do I need.
    Dave.

    Hi Dave
I saved the map to my laptop and the downloaded it to the ECU via Nanocom but if you are saving the map to an SD card you won't need a very large one as the map file is fairly small. It's my first time using the Nanocom but it seems straightforward. Send me a PM if you need help

I concur, for we few remaining/dying off IT troglodytes, a line by line explanation of what to do via Nanocom would be great. It would be worth doing and putting in the archives/good oil, rather than PMs, if anyone is happy to do it!

Incidentally, last time I sent my info to Jose, on his instructions, I just downloaded a file and emailed it to him - too easy, but it was a few years ago and I forgot to write down what I did.

I now have a different engine (read injectors) plus I want to refine the reMAP for towing a 3.5T caravan with TD5, so will need the full process to send info to Jose again.

OK Gavin, this what I did. You need a Nanocom + laptop with the
Nanocom software loaded. Connect to the car and copy the current map from the ECU to your laptop. Email the copy of your map to Jose telling him what you want (power, torque, economy etc) and the details of any mods (turbo, IC, exhaust) plus the type of driving you do. When he emails you back a modified map, save it to the computer and then reconnect the Nanocom and laptop to the car and download the map to the ECU. When you do this make sure other electrical equipment like the stereo is turned off. This is all that I did and it worked well

I don't have a laptop. I had my computer whiz son home for the weekend.
What we did was put an SD card into nanocom. Downloaded fuel map to SD card then plugged Nanocom into computer via USB.
Then downloaded the fuel map to my computer to send to Jose.

Just as good as my way Dave. You'll love the way it goes with the new turbo and map. Bit addictive to drive now with all the torque, keep having to remind myself that it's only 2.5L
