    Pricey, I'm sure it'd 'work'. Not going to go backwards and play the national anthem with just the DPL tune
    But to get the most out of it I'd be going a larger tune, I/C etc etc. Because race car

    Rambling, If you're asking would I put it on a stock car I'd say no. It's not a VNT, I'd imagine it needs a bit more zap than a stock Td5 puts out. However I'll wait for Jose to confirm

    Its a replacement turbo 100% bolt on...

    Hi,

    This turbo works in the same way the stock turbo works, so it will work with either stock or other remap files ( unlike vnt's , wich have a completely different map setup ). Neverthless, to get the most/best from this setup, an apropriat remap and turbo boost box its advisable.

    I believe so Furka... the discovery does weight about 500kg more than the defender!

    Hi Steve,

    There are a lot of ways and solutions to build an hybrid turbo. I'm not sure, but I believe I've tested at least 8 to 10 different turbos/solutions in my very own car to get the best possible solution.

    Fact is that, turbo goes from stock 2052 to 20## so you would expect to have a bit more lag than the original turbo ( this was probaly what happen with the unit you've tested). By adding an mfs compressor billet and a few more solutions we have managed to make the turbo spool sooner and thats why wont loose (in fact gain) @ lower revs.

    Solutions to get more torque at lower revs its either a vnt ( not to big) or a smaller turbo... in both cases you wont get what you are asking, wich is power just above idle... the engine is not prepared to do that. Being optimistic you get good power @ arround 1300 rpm, altough I believe good power delivery its @ 1500/1600 rpm! And this is with later vnt turbos with mfs compressor!

    Giving the fact that NNN ecus are getting more dificult to get, we are thinking on selling chip+socket for msb units wich can be fitted be any electronic/computer technician!

    Does this turbo need an upgraded MAF?
    At what RPM does it start to come onto boost?
    And, does it reduce lag? (Manual disco)
    Does this turbo come on boost nicely or just snap on abruptly?
    What sort of PSI are these turbos punching out?
