    looks suspiciously like the one from the mission kits...

    any chance of some parts pics and your fitting instructions so I can compare them to the EMEI/RPS's for the ones in the mission kits?

    G'day DAve.
    Form follows function.. A good deal better than the Surveillance version. No plastic or fibreglass, just a single piece of 304 above the guards. Underneath would be similar to OEM due to the same constraints, Intake location and shape of the vent.
    A different beast.

    indeed it does. but the surveilence snorkle is different to the mission kit snorkle which is an add on and is a multi piece item that has the main riser attached to the windshield and will allow you to lower the windshield and place the snorkle head onto the lower section by means of the flex elbow that makes the joint.

    and if you're referring to the surveilence snorkle as the silly plasticy fibreglass screw on splash guard thing that replaces the flat grid that does little more than stop bonnet run off from entering the duct then we're talking about 2 completely differnet beasts.

    the fitting instruction also include a handy a3 printable template that you can use as a drilling guide,

    If the APT one was retroed off of the mission kit one I was going to see if I still had the templates and the parts listing/descriptions for the underbonnet gubbins and brackets along with the other stuff that goes with the prep work for deep fording so it could be included or at least referenced as part of the kit.

    Pictures of the Perentie Snorkel as promised
    * Tube is 4? 304 stainless steel
    * Adapter plate is 304 stainless steel
    * M6 x 30 button head bolts
    * Powder coated olive drab snorkel and satin black adapter plate.
    As its one piece this one definitely does not fold down with the windscreen. The tube that penetrates the vent top is the same size as the inlet on the air box (3") so the flexible hose from the air box can connect straight to it.

    bbbbbbbbbthe bends follow the same pattern as the mission kit snorkle but there the similarities end.

    the most important difference is the way youre front mount through the grill works, the mission kit one has a replacement part for the plastic grill that yours "drills" through. This part has the adaptor for the inlet air trunk built onto its underside.and has the first short length which is where you attach the elbow and snorkle head to for operation with the windshield down.

    from the photo it looks like you have a single mounting point that monnts to the windshield which also looks to be in a different position from the mission kit ones.

    Id reccomend that if you're adaptors are stainless that part of the installation kit should be isolation gaskets/grommets/ally friendly isolation paste if your kit works like the mission kit installs, then this stuff isnt provided but it is identified so it can be provided by the installer. Naturally because the parts list is provided you can obtain the whole kit but its a seperate order to the main kit itself.

    please dont forget to include the obligatory warnings for work that interferes with the PUP paint. I'll see if I can find and scan in a opy of the warning page and the sticker thats ment to be affixed to all the vehicles.

    From experience to the damge the snorkles do to the windshield frame I'd suggest that a second tab be fitted that mounts to the front edge of the frame or a ring clamp and adaptor that securest onto the mount for the screen frame hinge. the side monting plate tends to vibrate its screws loose.

    with suitable templates and hosing that snorkle will also fit the county,tddi2/300 an td5 defenders. probably the fords too.
