Defender Seat Box Corner Protectors - Aussie Made ones!

AN eternal Defender problem is the mat getting knocked about on the top corner of the Seat Box. Whilst there has been a UK solution, now there is an Aussie one as well. Made from the same notoriously tough Nugget Stuff polyurethane used in the Sealed Air Box kits, the corner protectors are available in a screw on and also a stiff option.

Given where I take my truck, I am a bit sceptical that the stick on will pass the test of time so I have fitted one of each in my own truck for testing. The tape is an industrial double sided tape. Importantly the mat must be cleaned with Wax and Grease remover to ensure good adhesion. Any residual silicon will stop the tape from sticking.

Screw on. Place in position and drill 3.5mm holes then screw on with supplied screws.

They are fully Australian Made and are moulded from very tough polyurethane. Price is $54.25 per pair including postage.

The easiest is payment by Paypal via on my web page :-

Then go PRODUCTS, DEFENDER STUFF, SEAT BOX CORNER PROTECTORS

If you want to pay by eft drop me a PM, or give me a call if you live in Brisbane and want to collect a set. I am on the northside.

    Cheers

I already have the seat box protectors but haven't yet fitted them. I know on the previous thread about these that there were comments about using double sided tape. Which tape was it as I'd like to get them fitted next week end.

    Cheers.

I have them fitted and they have been fine until the DIL accidentally knocked one off on Straddie, but I have added extra double sided tape and it seems to be holding fine now.

What tape did you use. I bought the ones before Nugget was making them and they only came with screws.

They came with some tape. I just bought a roll from Bunnings to add to it.

If the tape doesn't work it would be easy to drill a hole and screw it in place. I think Nugget did that himself. I am just trying to minimise the number of holes I drill.
