I used this product on my Perentie wagon which had multiple leaks in the seams and other places. After taking the tank out a 3rd time I wasn't taking any chances. I used red-kote (along with welding etc on the outside). That was at least 5 years ago and is still good.
I would encourage Perentie owners to apply red-kote it as a precaution. My fuel tank was new when I did the full restoration.
