Looks excellent.
A recent customer wanted front bar work to replicate the Camel Trophy look on his 200 Tdi Defender.
He had already purchased a Mantec Zeon winch bumper from the UK. This gave us a strong platform to which the top bar would be bolted as it's made from 5mm steel.
We drilled a few extra holes in the bumper and added the towing pintles which the customer had also sourced.
In a combined effort and help from the internet, we came up with the basic dimensions of the original Camel bar work.
After some minor tweaks to align with the Mantec bar, and allow for available tube sizes, this is what we came up with.
Obviously this style of bar will not be quite as strong as a fully welded bar when subjected to a heavy impact, like a large Roo at speed for example, but I was surprised just how solid it felt once bolted up and should handle most minor impacts and bush work.
We were both quite happy with how the bar turned out as it retains that traditional Landy look we all love.
Total cost for the top bar worked out to $1100.
This bar would also fit with the original bumper if you want some extra protection without going to a full heavier bull bar. It also gives you some mounting points for driving lights, antennas, sand flag, etc etc
This first bar was designed to fit with the Non-Air grille, but we should be able to modify the mounting points to allow for later models with the extended A/C grille.

Nice one guys. Good effort. There's always hours hidden in a project like that and they aren't revealed by how simple and good it looks. Great option for mounting points on the original bar and for a classic look
