A sill tank will fit on the drivers side after factory tank is removed. However I think that the fuel filter will be in the way. For a perentie tank replacement I could simply make clearance for the filter. Otherwise just relocate the filter. A tank could be made for the LH side with the exhaust, after all the RFSV has a tank there, just reduced capacity.

Hi Andrew, was good to meet you up at Corowa (I was the one Kyle introduced you to with the 101 parked amongst the Perenties).

Having made a decision to by a 4x4 Perentie, I'm interested, but the vehicle is many months away at the moment, so hard to commit, although if you were 1 short I'd put my hand up for one. Wouldn't be the first time I've had parts for a vehicle I haven't got yet.

I haven't voted yet though - I'd be happy with anything that increased the vehicles range, so any option works for me.

Thanks Gav, that's the sort of commitment were after, buy one without a vehicle! Was a great weekend in Corowa and good to meet you and your nice 101. Must admit I too walked away thinking I want a perentie...

Don't get me wrong I really would like you to make a tank for the Perentie and I would definitely buy one when you do.
I just don't want to have to modify the exhaust (for the cill tank) or seat boxes or loose my spare wheel area to do it.
My preference would definitely be the central tank between the frame rails or the modified main tank in the same area.
I think you will find that many of the Perentie main steel tanks leak anyway so the latter would be a good option.

Thanks Phil, that's why I've given a few options to see what the majority want. I have also been told that the steel tanks are getting old and starting to leak so I agree a tank replacement would be great option, especially with an increase in capacity. And apparently a new steel tank is quite expensive, so a better bigger and cheaper tank is the way to go!

My thoughts exactly.
My main tank leaks. I'm sure it is because they hang low and get bashed, loosening the bash plate.
Ideally an increased capacity main tank possibly incorporating a separate sill tank on the drivers side (not sure what is possible but total 100 lt + would be ideal) and a water tank (60 lt ?) in the middle of the frame rails would be the way to go IMO but we all have different opinions.

Mine and many of the 4x4 have added turbo's and thus need larger exhausts. I don't really want to change the exhaust again (2.5" complete exhaust is+-$1000). That's on the passenger side inside the sill.
