    Hi Revor,

I could well be up for a set.

How strong are they compared to Ashcrofts shafts and cvs?

    Cheers
    Peter

    Hello Peter
We've not tested them head to head in the axle breaking machine we've got but they should be the same or a bit stronger. Both of us use similar materials and they are both made at the same manufacturer.

We used the 27 Toyota spline on the inner because we feel it's stronger than the 23 spline and it allows our star to be thicker. That said we need to supply the axles wit the CV's and we have to do it at a good price.. We're so confident that we offer a lifetime arranty against breakage. Of course nothing is unbreakable, if you're running 38's and a 500 HP chevy you ought to look at Dana 60's

The Pattern we sell is that of the '94ish and later trucks, so the short stub axle and hub combination. This patten is the easiest to convert older trucks to and is still used in the current defender range. To convert an older truck just put later stubs and hubs on it no other mods required, well you'll need the drive flange too..

Non ABS RRC! Heck if you where closer I'd give you a set of hubs and stubs..

You'll see that this product is no longer on the Longfield website mainly for this reason.

The Longs are great people (friends!!!) and have helped bring this product to market more than you can imagine, but alas they don't know much about Rovers.. They attend all our LR Rally's when they can though!!

I'm glad it's an easy thing for you!

I hope you'all understand why I developed the kit the way I did..

Grimace! How far are you from Tenterfield, I know it's a bit inland from the rather large Gold Coast but I have friend that has a farm there and when he's about you ought to go kick him in the shin for me! If you're close enough.. 'Sides this poor guy needs some Rover mates to take him out and abuse him!! He's got a decent enough ride!!!

I'm the "thinner" one by the way

After being unavailable for a while now, I have heard that Rover Tracks extreme cv kits are available again and I believe at the same price shown on their website (which hasn't been updated yet).

This is good news for those with rover 24 spline diffs - post 94 rrc, defenders, or disco I.
