Hello Peter
We've not tested them head to head in the axle breaking machine we've got but they should be the same or a bit stronger. Both of us use similar materials and they are both made at the same manufacturer.
We used the 27 Toyota spline on the inner because we feel it's stronger than the 23 spline and it allows our star to be thicker. That said we need to supply the axles wit the CV's and we have to do it at a good price.. We're so confident that we offer a lifetime arranty against breakage. Of course nothing is unbreakable, if you're running 38's and a 500 HP chevy you ought to look at Dana 60's
The Pattern we sell is that of the '94ish and later trucks, so the short stub axle and hub combination. This patten is the easiest to convert older trucks to and is still used in the current defender range. To convert an older truck just put later stubs and hubs on it no other mods required, well you'll need the drive flange too..
