Engine Saver Low Coolant Sensor/Head Temperature Alarm

    Hi all.

Seeing as I have let the cat out of the bag after Pat 303's interesting thread on the technical forum last night.

    Engine overtemp alarm

I want to ask if there is sufficient level of interest in the combined Engine Saver/ Tm-2 units for us to begin assembling and marketing them here.
We have been working on this new addition to our product line up for some time now.
The 2 units are neatly combined in the one housing and are really easy to fit.

Haydn (Our Uk agent and supplier of the new screw in sensors is already marketing them in europe)

Haydn Coolant Alarms - Low Coolant Alarm/TM-2 Combined (Powered by CubeCart)

If the interest is there I am sure we can produce them at a very competitive price.

Is the low coolant alarm audible?

Also, where would it fit on D2 dash,as it is pretty cluttered already?
I think the engine saver will fit where the ashtray is,but i dont think it reads temperature.

Both units share the internal buzzer in the TM-2 case.
So both have audible and visual alarms as well as the digital temparature read out

I already have the low coolant alarm and I would certainly add the
engine temp alarm to it if it became available.
    Count me in.

Would potentially be interested in one (or possibly even 2) too, price would need to be right though, 132.00UK doesn't convert very well at the moment even taking into account how much it could save in terms of costs of repairing engine damage.

Had an Engine Watchdog fitted for 200A$ (IIRC). It paid for itself when got a small hole in top of rad from a bolt touching it. Watchdog was barking away like mad, normal LR temp gauge not really moved and not a serious loss of coolant.

Saved a head gasket job so was well worth the money. Will be interested to see how it responds to UK winter temperatures.

    Regards

I'd be a prospective puchaser if price was reasonable.

If I do put this project to market, the price will be no where near 132 pounds ($310)

We will put it to market for the lowest price we can if sufficient demand is there for it.

They have been using them in the UK for years so no problems with low temperature operation.
