I am away for a few weeks overseas so all guard sales will be on hold till i return. Regards Phil
For all those still thinking of getting one. I'd say it saved my bacon well and truly over the weekend. Was doing a spot of rock hopping on a trip at the Warwick Corroboree. Probably wouldn't have if the circumstances were different, but that's a different story .... can't let those pieces of japcrap go it alone can we.
Copped a couple of hugh wallops underneath, some directly on the guard.
End result .. lack of full RH lock due to the steering ball joint contacting the out of shape guard.
Solved the problem by whipping it orf and flogging it mercilessly with an FBH to return it to something resembling it's original shape and all was good.
Would most likely have been a different story without that particular bit of kit in place.
Sad news on the way home though. Sounds like the old warped manifold issue .. to be investigated and confirmed today .... On a brighter note, if correct it will be an opportune time to install a Provent ..
Edit: Manifold issue not so bad after all .... intercooler hose had dropped off ...![]()
