I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Currently watching the Cricket from the MCG, 2nd Day, Aussies 3/460,...have ground the west indies into the dirt (no problem with that at all!!,...Voges 69, Smith 80,....and they're STILL just taking the occasional single,,,,,surely now, they could have a whack,....no big hitting at all,......BBBOOORRIIINNGGG.
What are these guys after?...getting their NUMBER of runs up, setting new records for THEMSELVES,....what about some "entertaining" cricket,.....surely at 3/460,.....it's time!!

Practice. Spending time in the crease during a test is invaluable experience, as well as confidence building. Test cricket is not T20. And they will need that confidence when we play N.Z. in N.Z.

Agree with Bob - it's not T20, and I hope it never goes that way. A well put together innings - no matter how far in front you are - shouldn't degenerate into a slog fest. Test Cricket is not boring - I listened to the entire test on my little transistor radio while camping. . It would be nice to see a closer game, but the Aussies played the while match very sensibly and very well.

Oh, and while we're talking T20, I'm watching a game now. My opinions on this form of the sport are well known, but I thought I'd try it again. Can't say I've seen anything that is thrilling me at all, but I'll persist and watch the whole match in case it gets better at some point. Batsmen throwing their wickets away having a slog at a loose ball isn't my idea of good Cricket.
