I like the idea of vegans being cannibalised, something so ironic about it all. I think Billy Connelly suggested a solution to famine, homelessness and over populated prisons: Put the homeless in the prisons and let them eat the inmates. Food shortage over, homeless are housed and no overpopulation of our prison system.
Why is it that whenever Vegans are mentioned, the subject turns to eating them? I think omnivorous people would be much tastier and Prison Inmates would be much too tough.
yes.
during the floods of ipswich I had half a dozen calls asking if I would mind if people could come and get drinking water and emergancy food from my stash.
The water I had no problems with as I had a 5Kl water tank and the emergancy food was on a you replace what you take basis.
I gave away 2 20l jerries of ulp and 3 of diesel.
It depends on your definition of prepping....
Within australia generally if you can survive 2 weeks and cover over 1000K without getting external fuel then you dont need much more than that.
id guess 90% of the regulars on this forum would fall into some category of prepper because it would take them 20 minutes to be ready to head for the outback for a weeks camping.
Great minds, Dave.
I have suggested the very same thing to many, about being prepared for a major natural disaster.
Good question. Only you have the answer, for your own circumstances. For me, it comes down to looking after family, in the case of a natural disaster. I've never been in a situation, where anyone has felt the need for a weapon, to protect themselves from random strangers. I was brought up in the old Australia, where neighbors knew each other, any man that hit a women, was dealt summery justice, children could roam around without worry. People looked for the good in each other, and forgave minor bull****. We should ignore ratbags that advocate radical solutions for normal situations. we should stick to our core values, and not be sidetracked by those who want to create an agenda for themselves. That is a very small answer to your question Dave, but an answer none the less.
