More ANZAC trained Iraqi's ready to fight.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I see 80 Aussie special forces are helping to plan the assault on Mosul.

Good luck to them. They'll need it.

Letters from Mosul, asking forgiveness for murder. The more you look into this, the more you realise this may never end. Australia must be careful not to get sucked in.

Who knows what will happen here?....NOT ME.
However, what I have noticed in recent TV coverage of the Iraqi Army's efforts to take Mosul, is that the "seems" to be a better "morale" emanating from their side, their officers are well dressed, look to be in control, and seem to have some "confidence", that they will take Mosul, and that they will eventually defeat Isis in Iraq.
That's what it looks like to me, but whether this is actually the situation, I don't know.
Nor do I know, what will eventually be the story in Iraq? I suppose the best we could hope for is that Govt forces will regain control of the country, so that there can be some stability?
Then again, I think I read many years ago that those people in Northern Iraq have always been somewhat separate from the Govt in Bagdad?
    Only my opinion, Pickles.
