    In the little country town I used to reside, i believe the NSW RTA (or whatever they are called these days) was the issue with continuing the march down the main street (also a highway)

    Common sense eventually prevailed, the detours aren't that onerous on through traffic.

    I wonder why the barriers were required in the Blue Mountains, but not elsewhere, according to the story.
